Dynamit/Norfolk Isle xx; 16.1½ Blk/Dk Brown Gelding, b. 26/10/1996.

Owned by Sandra Stanford, who writes:

I purchased him on April Fool's day as a four-year-old. We had a few troubles after a few bad experiences had ruined his trust in people, but after some time with Leigh Wills from Equus Education in Cambridge we made a great breakthrough and as a 7yr old he went out for his first competition.

At his second ODE he scored 92% in his test and jumped fabulous. Since then Aero has placed at every eventing outing, competed in Prelim dressage and of course show jumping his little heart out.

In his first year at HOY he did SJ and SH, second year he placed in Dressage and 1.10m SJing, the following year placed again in SJing up to 1.20m and last year came away with multiple SJing wins and placings (including the 5th in the Open Amateur Title class and 1.25m events) after a comeback from a spiral fracture to the top of his tibia suffered in the paddock after the previous years HOTY show.

In addition, the last two years Aero has won every title eligible to win within the Waitemata SJing group, including the Minicircuit Points and Open Horse Futurity. This year has started off amazing with our first 1* Grand Prix start at Woodhill Sands in September where he also won the Open Amateur title and 2nd in the 1.25 behind John Cottle. He won a 2nd at the Te Teko show in the Amateur and also took out the win in the 1.30 class. Best weekend to date was just last weekend (Nov 08) at the Auckland SJ Show at Pukekohe where he won the 1.35m Power & Speed title on the Saturday and the Grand Prix on the Sunday.

The below article about Aero Dynamic featured on the NZEF website:

A DYNAMIC WIN FOR STANFORD
17/11/2008 4:57:27 p.m. The newcomer to Grand Prix classes showed she has what it takes by winning the Grand Prix at the Auckland Showjumping Show.

Sandra Stanford (Whagaparoa) aboard Aero Dynamic, who were only competing in their fourth ever Grand Prix, were the only clear in the jump off. Beating off more experienced riders, including Olympic representative, Kate McVean, who took out three of the top six placings.

Stanford has brought the Dynamit Gelding on from a youngster, and although they have had some testing times Stanford's ability and patience has certainly paid off.
